The 2008 political conventions will feature the nomination of the nation’s first African-American nominee for the Democrats – Sen. Barack Obama (D- IL) and the nation’s oldest nominee for the Republicans- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).
Once impromptu raucuous events, the political conventions have become well scripted, choreographed events that rarely make or break news. But with a reported 15,000 journalists covering this political theater, there will much drama.
